Quality removals,
across London
Careful house, flat, mansion-block, man-and-van and office moves in every London borough — with long-distance work out to the rest of the UK and road removals into Europe. Somebody looks at the job before you are given a figure, and the crew who load your home are the crew who unload it.

The standards
Most removals pages put a row of badges here. We have not earned any, so here is what we will actually be held to instead — five commitments about method, all of them checkable on the day.
- 01
Surveyed before it is quoted
Someone looks at the property — on video for most moves, in person where the access or the volume earns it. The inventory written at that survey is what the quote is built from, and it is why the figure does not move on the day.
- 02
Wrapped where it stands
Blankets, corner protection and covers go on in the room, before anything is lifted. Nothing gets carried bare to the tailgate and wrapped there, which is where most damage is actually done.
- 03
Access settled in advance
Permits, bay suspensions, lift bookings, loading-dock windows and building management sign-off are arranged before the date, not negotiated on the doorstep with a vehicle already blocking the street.
- 04
One crew, both ends
The people who load your home unload it. No handover to a subcontractor you have never spoken to, which is where items go missing and where nobody can say who broke what.
- 05
Set down, not dropped off
Boxes go to the room named on the label, beds are rebuilt where you want them, and the packing materials leave with us. Nobody drives away until you have walked round.
Quality moving across London
The conditions that decide a London move
Furniture is the easy half. What separates a calm move from a difficult one in this city is the set of permissions, windows and physical constraints around the two front doors — and whether anyone dealt with them before the vehicle arrived.
- Controlled parking
- Most London streets need a dispensation or a suspended bay for a removals vehicle. Boroughs differ and some want real notice, so we ask early and apply as part of the planning rather than chancing a ticket on the day.
- The Congestion Charge
- Applies to our vehicles on central moves. It is accounted for in the quote and paid by us — it does not reappear afterwards as a separate line you were not told about.
- ULEZ
- Our vehicles meet the emissions standard for the zone, which is a fleet question rather than yours. It does not restrict where in London we can collect from or deliver to.
- Lifts and loading bays
- Concierge buildings and mansion blocks run booked windows for the service lift and the bay. We agree the window with the managing agent first, then build the load order around it.
- Stairwells and doorways
- A Victorian conversion staircase, a half-landing turn or a narrow area door decides the method more often than the size of the house does. Measurements are taken at survey so the answer is known while there is still time to act on it.
- Restricted loading hours
- Red routes, market streets and parts of the City only permit loading at certain times. Where that applies, the move is planned around the permitted window instead of running into it.
What we move
Eight services, graded by how much handling the contents need rather than by how fast you want it done. The wrapping standard is the same on all of them.
House removals
Whole homes across the capital.
Period terraces, semis and townhouses, surveyed room by room and moved by a named crew who see the job from the first blanket to the last walk-round.
Flat, apartment & mansion-block removals
Lifts, stairwells and porter protocols.
Conversions, purpose-built blocks, mansion blocks and new-build towers. The route out of the building is planned before anything else, because in a flat that is the job.
Premium & white-glove removals
When the contents warrant it.
Full pack, made-to-size casing for art and mirrors, cabinetry dismantled and rebuilt by hand, and an inventory detailed enough to settle any question afterwards.
Man and van
A room, a part load, one heavy thing.
The same wrapping standard and the same crews, on a smaller scale — priced by the job rather than by a clock you have to watch.
Office & business removals
Out of hours, open on Monday.
Desks, IT, storage walls and archives crated and coded by destination position, moved inside a booked building window so you do not lose a trading day.
Long distance & nationwide
London to anywhere in the UK.
Out of the capital and up the country, loaded for the distance rather than for the doorstep, and unloaded by the crew who packed it.
Storage between moves
Containerised, inventoried, ours.
Not a unit you rent and load yourself. We pack it, list it, seal the container and deliver it out when your date is finally firm.
European removals
London to France, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
Road moves out through the Channel with the customs declaration built from the survey inventory and lodged before the vehicle travels.
How a quote is reached
No figure before somebody has looked
There is no instant calculator on this site. A number generated from two postcodes and a room count is a guess, and guesses get revised once somebody finally sees the stairs.
Start a quote- 01
Tell us what is moving
Both addresses, roughly what is in the property, and anything you already know about access. A few photographs help; a list helps more.
- 02
A survey, not a guess
Video for most moves, in person where the access or the volume earns it. We measure the awkward pieces, check the lift and the stairwell, and look at where a vehicle can legally stand.
- 03
A written specification
Crew, vehicle, materials, handling level, what is included and what is not — on paper before you commit to anything. If something changes it, you hear from us first.
- 04
The move itself
Wrapped in the room, loaded in an order that makes the unload sensible, set down where you want it, packaging taken away. Nobody leaves until you have walked round.
Every part of London covered
North, south, east, west and central
Every borough, and the housing stock in each one behaves differently. These are the five working divisions we plan around — not marketing regions, just the five kinds of London move that need different thinking.
North London
Victorian conversions and hill streets
Islington, Camden, Haringey, Barnet and Enfield. A great deal of North London work is a first-floor or second-floor flat conversion on a controlled-parking street, where the whole job turns on a bay suspension and a staircase that was never designed for a modern sofa.
South London
Terraces, commons and the long suburban reach
Southwark, Lambeth, Wandsworth, Lewisham, Croydon and Bromley. Period terraces close in, generous interwar housing further out, and a proportion of moves that finish in Surrey or Kent rather than in London at all.
East London
New-build towers and warehouse conversions
Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Redbridge and the Docklands. Concierge buildings with booked service lifts and a loading bay you have to reserve, alongside warehouse conversions where the freight lift is the only way anything larger than a chair leaves the building.
West London
Mansion blocks and stucco terraces
Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, Ealing, Hounslow and Richmond. Mansion-block moves with porter protocols and lift dimensions that decide the method, and stucco-fronted houses with basement kitchens and area steps.
Central London
Where the access rules matter most
The City, Westminster, Holborn and Marylebone. Congestion Charge, ULEZ, restricted loading hours, red routes and buildings that will only admit a removals vehicle inside a booked window. Central moves are planned around the permissions first and the furniture second.
And out of London
A good share of London moves finish somewhere else entirely — the home counties, the south coast, the Midlands, the north, or across the Channel. Those are planned as one job with one crew rather than handed over halfway.
Out of London, across the UK
Long-distance moves leave the capital as a single job: one survey, one crew, one vehicle loaded for the distance rather than for the doorstep, and the same people unloading at the far end. No depot handover, no second firm you have never spoken to.
- London to Manchester
- London to Birmingham
- London to Leeds
- London to Glasgow
- London to Edinburgh
- London to Bristol
And into Europe
Four destinations by road, out through the Channel. The customs declaration is built from the survey inventory and lodged before the vehicle travels — which is the whole reason the inventory has to be written properly in the first place.
European removalsThe questions worth asking a removals firm
Straight answers. Where the honest answer is that it depends, that is what it says.
What makes a move a "quality" move rather than just a cheap one?
Method, mostly. Whether somebody surveyed the property before quoting. Whether furniture is wrapped in the room or at the tailgate. Whether the permit and the lift were booked in advance or discovered on the day. Whether the crew who loaded it is the crew who unloads it. None of that is glamorous and all of it is the difference between a calm day and a bad one.
Do you cover all of London?
Every borough, north, south, east, west and central, plus the moves that start in London and finish somewhere else in the country. We work at London-wide level; for street-by-street local knowledge in a single district, our coverage page points you at the network site that specialises there.
Will the price change on the day?
Not if the job matches the survey. That is the entire reason we survey before quoting. If something genuinely changes between the survey and the move — extra volume, an access restriction nobody knew about — we tell you before we proceed rather than adding it to an invoice afterwards.
Do you handle the Congestion Charge, ULEZ and parking permits?
Yes. Charges applicable to our vehicles are our responsibility and are accounted for in the quote. Where a bay suspension or a borough dispensation is needed we apply for it, and where a building requires a booked loading window we arrange it with the managing agent.
Can you pack everything?
Full pack, part pack, or materials dropped off in advance so you can work through it yourself. On a premium move we case artwork and mirrors individually and dismantle cabinetry by hand rather than by force.
Moving in or out of London?
Send both addresses and a rough idea of what is coming. We will come back about a survey and put the specification in writing.
